Using Strobe Lights to Repel Rodents

Posted on: Jan. 5, 2022, 2:31 p.m. The use of strobe lights to deter rodents from entering an attic or crawl space has been proven effective with our customers. Strobing lights are generally considered the safer alternative compared to using toxic pesticides and poisons in your home. The strong strobing effect chases rodents out. Customers have reported rodents attempting to enter the area a couple of more times until they finally leave for good. Here is a story from another satisfied user of our rodent deterrent strobe light.  One year ago I was between renters.  The previous renter had told me that the furnace was acting a little wonky, but was operating.  My wife and I would check on the house daily and the furnace was working.  No noticeable wonkiness when I was checking it out.  But, just in case something happened, I shut the water off.  Then, on one of the coldest nights, the furnace failed to ignite and the temperature dropped well below zero.   My wife and I didn’t get a chance to check on the rental until the next afternoon, but we were too late. The damage included freezing and breaking the shut off valve (I knew that), the water meter (the city charged me $150.00 for that, $100.00 for the new meter and a $50.00 fine for “letting it freeze and break”), the pressure regulator, the kitchen faucet, the shower faucet and every PCV plastic water line. If there was a bright side here, Jack Frost didn't freeze the water heater (which was electric and not turned on), the toilet, the washing machine or the bathroom faucet. The HVAC/plumbing Company charged $1500.00 to replace the two frozen faucets, replace all the frozen and cracked plastic water lines with PEX tubing and made repairs to the furnace. I feel this was a fair price considering it took two men two days plus the new faucets and other parts. After this large expense, I researched the available temperature warning lights on the market prior to the purchase of the FZ-5 Freeze Flash. I set the switch to “Flash” mode, installed 2 D cell batteries, rotated the dial on the thermostat and the unit began to flash. It is very bright and should get the neighbor's attention, or mine when I drive by. This Freeze Warning flasher alerted me to another furnace failure two years later from my first review. I was able to place space heaters in my empty rental house to save the water lines and other parts from freezing, being able to call the repair man and saving myself from another $1650.00 bill in repairs! Great product!  If you have a property you need to keep an eye on if temperature changes will be an issue, this is the product to buy! Here is some additional news.  I lost the control knob for the thermostat.  I contacted the company via email from their website, told them my problem and left my phone number and address.  I received a phone call from the company!  Can you believe it?  Real people at a company who will call you back and take care of you! Benefit of Back up alarm with audio and LED signal

Posted on: Aug. 24, 2023, 4:55 p.m. A backup alarm with both audio and LED signals offers several benefits in various applications, particularly in scenarios where safety, awareness, and communication are crucial. Here are some of the key benefits: 1. Enhanced Safety: The primary purpose of a backup alarm is to warn people in the vicinity of a moving vehicle that it's reversing. By combining both audio and LED signals, you provide multiple sensory cues to individuals in the area, increasing the likelihood of them noticing the vehicle and taking appropriate actions to stay clear. 2. Accessibility: Different individuals may have varying levels of sensory perception or impairments. A combination of audio and visual signals ensures that the warning is accessible to a broader range of people, including those who might have difficulty hearing or seeing. 3. Reduced Noise Pollution: While audio alarms are effective, they can contribute to noise pollution, especially in areas with frequent vehicle movements. Adding an LED signal alongside the audio alarm allows for warning without adding unnecessary noise. 4. Clear Communication: Sometimes, the noise in a busy environment can make it difficult for people to hear the audio alarm clearly. Having a visual LED signal as a backup ensures that the warning is communicated clearly even in noisy surroundings. 5. Distinction and Recognition: In environments where multiple vehicles are operating, each with their own backup alarms, the combination of audio and LED signals can help individuals distinguish which vehicle is reversing. This distinction aids in situational awareness and prevents confusion. 6. Nighttime and Low-Light Conditions: LED signals are particularly effective in low-light conditions, such as at night or in poorly lit areas. They can catch the attention of individuals who might not easily notice the audio alarm alone. 7. Compliance with Regulations: Depending on the industry and location, there might be regulations or standards that require specific backup warning systems. A combination of audio and LED signals can help meet these requirements more comprehensively. 8. Adaptability: Different situations might call for different levels of warning. For instance, in a quiet residential area, a lower-volume audio alarm might be preferred. In a noisy construction site, a louder audio signal combined with a bright LED light could be more effective. Having both options allows for adaptability to various scenarios. 9. Redundancy: In critical safety situations, redundancy in warning systems can be a lifesaver. If one of the systems fails or becomes less effective due to environmental conditions, the other system can still provide the necessary warning. 10. Human Behavior: Humans naturally respond to multiple cues. The combination of audio and visual signals can trigger a stronger and quicker response, reducing the chances of accidents or mishaps. In summary, a backup alarm with both audio and LED signals offers a multi-modal approach to warning individuals about reversing vehicles. This can lead to increased safety, better communication, and improved situational awareness in a variety of environments. https://www.lumastrobe.com/shop/products/Back-up-alarm-with-led-flashing-signal-lba-led/ Source: ChatGPT Read More >>

Enhancing worker safety is crucial in these environments, and using projector lights on forklifts can be a valuable addition to safety measures. Projector lights can improve visibility, warn pedestrians and other operators, and help prevent accidents. Here are some considerations and benefits to keep in mind when implementing projector lights for forklifts: Improved Visibility: Projector lights can be mounted on the front and rear of the forklift to project bright beams of light onto the ground. These beams create a well-defined path for the forklift, making it easier for the operator to see where they are driving, especially in low-light conditions or areas with poor visibility. Pedestrian Warning: Forklifts often operate in areas with foot traffic. Projector lights can be designed to cast a visible warning pattern on the ground around the forklift, alerting pedestrians to its presence and giving them a clear indication of the safe distance to maintain. Directional Signals: Projector lights can be used to display arrows or other directional signals on the ground, indicating the direction in which the forklift is moving. This can be particularly helpful in environments with complex layouts or intersections where clear guidance is needed. Hazardous Area Warning: In areas where forklifts should not enter due to safety hazards, projector lights can be used to create a red or striped warning zone on the ground, indicating that the area is off-limits for the forklift.
